Currently, Annie holds a position with the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments as their KAL-TEC Community Outreach Coordinator.

The Kalkaska chamber will contract for one-quarter of her time from the NWMCOG, beginning in early 2008. As a result of the recent merger with the GKACC, this position will be staffed by the TCACC.

Annie brings to the Kalkaska chamber a strong connection with the Kalkaska County area. Annie's responsibilities as president of the GKACC will be to provide leadership for the Kalkaska chamber division of the TCACC.

"There is no doubt Annie will bring a level of leadership skills to the Kalkaska chamber that we will greatly benefit from. Sharing the work of Annie Shetler with the Northwest Michigan Council of Government's KAL-TEC program makes great sense," TCACC president and CEO, Doug Luciani, said.

Elaine Wood, Deputy Director of Northwest Michigan Council of Governments, agreed.

"The primary purpose of KAL-TEC is to improve the workforce and business vitality of the Kalkaska area," Wood said. "Annie's two roles will complement each other to the benefit of the community."
