James Brown



James Truesdell Brown of Wolverine, Mich., formerly of Kalkaska, passed away September 11, 2007, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis at the age of 52. Born March 16, 1955, in Kalkaska, to the late Albert Reed Brown and Edvega Anna Brown.

James was an army soldier, volunteer firefighter in Blue Lake Township, an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Northern Lights Christian Church of Vanderbilt.

Surviving James are his children, Summer Brown and Troy Brown. He is also survived by his brother, Stuart Brown and his wife Diane, his brother-inlaw John Smith.

He is also survived by his caregivers Thomas and Jennifer Morse and their children, Kara and Tommy. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Kingsley Brown, John Brown, Joseph Brown, Mary Smith (Brown).

James loved spending time with family and friends enjoying life.

The family held a memorial service at Northern Lights Christian Church in Vanderbilt on Saturday Sept. 15, at 1 p.m.
