Samuel C. "Butch" Rhea



Samuel C. "Butch" Rhea, 65, of Levelland, Texas, formerly of Torch River, passed away suddenly on Sept. 5, 2007.

Sam was born on Feb. 22, 1942, in Bonham, Texas to Guy and Nell Rhea. He married Carol Harmon in Levelland, Texas. In 1976, Sam moved his family to the Torch River area and was northern regional manager in the United States for Pool Well Service. Sam enjoyed boating on Torch Lake, sledding with his chil- dren, a passion for playing basketball and hearing the squeal of "Grandpa Sam"from his grandchildren.

Sam was loved by all who knew him. His last days were spent helping others at a senior citizen center.

Sam is survived by his mother Nell, two sisters, Pam and Penny, brother Mike, his daughters, Gay and Ginger, sons Gary and Greg, six grandchildren and one great grandson. He is preceded in death by his father Guy, and brothers Don and Lee.
