Edna lived in the Kalkaska area from 1968, 1983. She had been a teacher's aid in the Kalkaska school district, and an active member of the Evergreen Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, G. Mischnick and her mother, Mabel McCabe. survived by two half brothers, John and McCabe, and a half sister Lois McCabe. Also surviving are her five children, Carol Beaulieu Dearborn, Edward (Ted) Mischnick of Kalkaska, Mary Lou Jenkins of Bradenton, Florida, Mischnick of South Boardman, and Michelle Bassett of Sarasota, Florida; four grandchildren eleven great grandchildren.
