She is survived by ex-husband Walter "Mike" Montney of Kalkaska, daughter: Daina (Emery) Smith of Fife Lake, son Michael Montney of Kalkaska, sisters: Tracey Kramer, Dawnice Day, and Deanna (Dan) Messler, niece: Shayna (Mark) Long, Nephews: Timothy (Natalee) Kramer, and Kenneth "Scooter" (Katrina) Kelley, Grandson Vaughn Smith, and many great nieces and nephews.

Ginnice was preceded in death by her mother Donna father Robert and brother-in-law James Day. A memorial service was held Monday, June 18, 2007, at Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley, with Reverend Ken Doss officiating.
