Parade highlights Fife Lake's 4th

FIFE LAKE - The parade through downtown Fife Lake began just as the sun broke through the clouds last Wednesday, during the community's 11th annual Best 4th in the North.

Crowd members bounced to their feet to dance to the music as the Kingsley Jazz Prism band played "String of Pearls" and other great songs.

There was no shortage of candy for the little ones, as generous handfuls of favorites flew from the floats.

Clowns sprayed unsuspecting parade-goers with silly string, while the staff from Peninsula Pyrotechnics teased everyone with a mini-fireworks display from their float. They presented their full display later that night.
