Corporal Casey P. Zylman



Please help us to honor our fallen hero, Corporal Casey Philip Zylman who lost his life May 25th, 2007, serving in the United States Army in Iraq.

He loved his country and all those in it.

Casey graduated from Coleman High School in 2003, where he was active in athletics; playing football, basketball and baseball. He was elected to the student council, was a member of Board Scholars, the National Honor Society and was involved in the Drama Program, and Midland County 4-H.

Casey enlisted in the United States Army in July of 2005.

Survivors include his parents Randy & Jamie Zylman of Coleman, sister Amie and Jason Balliet of Kalkaska, niece Angelie, grandfather James Morley of Sterling great-grandmother Lydia Morley of Bay City, many family and friends. Casey was preceded in death by his grandparents; Judith Jean Morley, John & Francis Zylman, great-grandfather; James A. Morley.

Funeral services were held Monday June 4, 2007, at the Coleman High School. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from noon to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday at the school starting at 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Coleman Board Scholars in Casey's Memory or the Coleman Athletic Boosters.

He was loved and cherished, always to be remembered by family and friends left behind.
