Since Mitch Cook's death in September 2002, his parents and classmates have been searching for a way to properly remember the students who have passed before their 25th birthday.

They, along with Mitch's family, have been raising money hoping that the day would soon come for Mitch and the other students to be remembered, not for their deaths but their lives.Ê

The Mitchell Wesley Dean Cook Foundation raised enough funding to defer half of the plaques' cost, or any persons interested in honoring a former student may purchase a plaque for it's total cost of $150.00. Donations are always appropriate and may be sent to Forest Area Credit Union account M.W.D.C.

On the day of Friday, May 11, students, parents, and teachers gathered for the long awaited unveiling of the memorial wall.ÊAtop the wall stands a saying, "Angels that have touched us will never be forgotten." This holds a special meaning for all of those who have loved ones on the wall.Ê Six plaques are still to be added to the wall.Ê
