Kenneth E. Pyle



Kenneth E. Pyle, 69, of South Boardman, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at his home. Born on July 21, 1937, in Hope, he was the son of the late Rosston A. and Cyreda (Maloney) Pyle.

Kenneth married Sandra J. Hutchins on October 11, 1958 in Midland. Ken loved his family and always put them first. A man rarely seen without a smile on his face he welcomed many people into his home. He was a wonderful foster father, host to 11 exchange students and a dedicated volunteer to the Kalkaska County 4-H Program. His many grandchildren brought him his greatest joy. Ken loved his hobby farm and was a dedicated employee of Turtle Creek Casino. Ken enjoyed the customers and the people he worked with. His strong hands and warm heart will be missed by all.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, Vicki (Timothy) Luckey of Tucson, AZ, Jill Pyle of Grand Rapids, Patti LaPointe of Williamsburg, Bobbi Jo (Raphael) Pyle of Westland, Ashley Pyle and Abigail Pyle both of South Boardman; foster child, Cathleen, honorary son, Brian Gustin of Redford Twp; honorary daughters, Deb Ouwinga of McBain, Rachelle (Bill) Birch of Traverse City, Vanessa Solis of Costa Rica; grandchildren, Angela (Charlie) Kitchen, Amber (Luciano) Birgy, Jordan Birgy, Spencer & Mylia LaPointe, Seth Denomme, Joshua & Tiffany Luckey, Johanna Okeke, Scott (Emily) Birch, Kara Birch, Jessica & MacKenzie Ouwinga, Karissa, Joshua, Mariah, Clibert & Shania Woltman; great grandchildren, Kodi & Michael Kitchen and Ally Jo & Lily Birgy; brothers, Roger (Vivian) Pyle of Zanesville, OH, William (Joan) Pyle of Midland and Robert (MaryLou) Pyle of Hope; mother in law, Beulah G. Ames of Midland; sisters in law, Pamela & Patricia Hutchins and many much loved nieces & nephews.

Visitation was on Tuesday May 8 and also will be on Wednesday, May 9, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Daniel Biteman officiating from the St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Lawton. Burial will be at Boardman Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in remembrance of Kenneth to the Abigail Pyle Care Fund.
