June, as she preferred to be called, was born on Nov. 26, 1928, in Mancelona to Bertha and Gurden Miller. She attended school in Mancelona graduating on May 23, 1946. June worked as a billing clerk until her retirement in 1986, when she moved to her home in Blue Lake Township, Kalkaska. On Jan. 24, 1948, June married Wilfred M. Scheerer who died on Oct. 7, 1983. June enjoyed working in the garden, traveling and was the caregiver for several family members.

ÊShe is survived by 2 brothers, Donald (Jenny) Miller of Blue Lake Twp., James Miller of Orlando, Fla., 4 sisters, Ruth Jean of Blue Lake Twp., Helen (Harry) Gorman of Brighton, Phyllis (Jerry) Jackman of Boyne City and Karen (Charles) Lieberman of Oak Grove; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Hubert Dupuis her beloved companion, her parents, a brother Robert Miller who wife Verna resides in Bloomfield Hills. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Cyril Jean, and a sister-in-law Diana Miller.

ÊFuneral services will take place on Wed., May 7, 200,8 at 2 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from noon until the time of services. Pastor Ted Turanski will officiate.

Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
