Blazers have tough day



HARBOR SPRINGS -- Kalkaska's boys' track team had a tough day at the freshman/sophomore invitational on Wednesday, April 25.

The Blazers finished last out of the eight teams in the field. Traverse City West had first place with 124 points, edging out Harbor Springs, which scored 123.

Ethan Miltenberger paced the Blazers with a second place finish in the discus with a throw of 113 feet, 3 inches.

Elliott Ingersoll had a third place finish in the 110-meter high hurdles, finishing the race in a time of 19.28 seconds.

Coming in fifth was Tyler O'Neill with a time of 21.03 seconds.

Alex Greve contributed to the Blazers' point total with a fourth place in the 1600meter run with a time of 4:58.50. Kalkaska was sixth in the 400 relay with a time of 58.06 seconds.

Ingersoll also had a fourth place in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 48.16 seconds, while O'Neill took sixth place in a time of 51.14 seconds.

Kodie Heading finished sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.49. The Blazers had a fifth place finish in the 1600-meter relay, clocking a time of 4:12.57.

Ingersoll finished in sixth place in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, 7 inches 1/4 inches.
