She was born on May 12, 1934, in Spencer, the daughter of the late William and Grace (Reed) Robinson.Ê She attended Oneal Grade School and Kalkaska High School, graduating in 1952. Rose married Benedict Battaglio on Sept. 1, 1956, in Kalkaska at the St. Mary's of the Wood Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter:Ê Lezlee (Tim) Nielsen of Custer; two Grandsons that she dearly loved:Ê Joseph and Cole Nielsen; eight Sisters:Ê Ruth Miller of Southgate, Alice Brigham of Cadillac, Shirley Robinson, Wilma Huff, and Lawana Way all of Kalkaska; Danelle Robinson of Traverse City, Joyce Kraeveldt of Warren; Terri (Larry) Jones of Fife Lake; one brother:Ê Pat (Edie) Robinson of Belding; and several nieces and nephews.

ÊShe is preceded in death by her parents and sister:Ê Margaret. A memorial service for Rose will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday May 5, 2007, at the American Legion Post 76 in Ludington with Father Dennis O'Donnell officiating.ÊThe family will receive friends for visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service.ÊCremation has taken place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee.Ê Final interment will take place at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Scottville.

The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Ludington.
