Tom was a veteran serving our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.Ê He married Arlene Doerflein on May 16, 1964, in Indianapolis, Ind.Ê Together they moved from Swartz Creek to Kalkaska County in 2001.Ê Tom retired from Allied Systems Ltd. in 1999, after 26 years of service.Ê He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and loved being with his family.Ê Tom was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.

Surviving Tom is his wife; his sons, Brian J. (Stacy) Scott and Shawn T. (Tammy) Scott, all of Swartz Creek; his grandchildren, Zachary, Samantha, Jessica, Steven and TJ; his sisters, Marcelyn M. Barnes of Cudahy, Wis., Carol A. Baker of Howard City and Joann M. Pilarski of Alpena; and his sister-in-law, Pat Scott of Fairview.

Visitation was on Thursday, April 17, at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska.Ê The Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Mary of the Woods with Reverend James Barrand officiating.

Memorials may be given in behalf of Tom to Munson Hospice or the American Cancer Association.
