Obituaries PUBLISHED: Dewie was a very classy lady who loved and was loved dearly by her family. She worked for many years at the old Hotel Kalkaska, and loved to golf with her good friends. Her passions were her family and her sports' teams: the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, Spartans and even the Wolverines, as long as they weren't playing MSU. She loved being outdoors and tending her flowers and feeding her birds. Dewie leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Walt and Linda Keck, of Dimondale, Mich., her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and David Jones, of Fife Lake, daughter-in-law, Janet (Keck) Beard, of Traverse City; grandsons, Frank R. Keck, of Pickford, Mich., Chris and Sherri Keck, of Grass Lake, Mich., Anthony Keck, of Baton Rouge, La., and Michael Keck, of Lansing; granddaughters and grandson-in-laws, Holly and Chad Lowery, Andrea and Shawn Wise, of Fife Lake; five great grandchildren, Chase and Nevaeh Wise and Shelbie and Charlie Lowery, all of Fife Lake, and Samantha Keck, of Grass Lake; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Gloria Markley, of Whitehall, Mich., four nieces, two nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husbands, son, Frank L. Keck, daughter-in-law, Margaret Ann (Steele) Keck, infant son, Daniel Keck, brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Lori Markley, sister, Shirley Markley, and brother Frank Markley. Per Dewie's wishes, she has been cremated and no service is being planned. If you knew Dewie, please raise a glass and toast your memories of her. Special thanks to Munson Hospice and the wonderful people who cared for her in her last weeks, especially Irene, Jennifer, Nancy and Gayle. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send a donation to Munson Hospice, 1105 Sixth Street, Traverse City, Mich., 49684. |
