Egg hunters go inside for fun

KALKASKA-Almost 90 children, together with their mothers, fathers and grandparents, went to the Kaliseum to participate in the annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt co-hosted in partnership with the Kaliseum last Saturday.

In reality, the children picked up as many eggs as they could find in an allotted time span. The child with the most eggs picked up won a prize for each boy and girl in the age group. The 8 to 9 age group had to race while carrying an egg in a spoon, and the 10 to 11 age group had to roll an egg across the floor with a spoon as they raced to the finish line. All the children present received some Easter candy. The adults really enjoyed the spirited competition and a good time was had by all. The winners were:

Under 2, girl: Lillian Carney; boy: Thomas Carlyon

2 to 3, girl: Julia Tubabacki; boy: Gabe Willis

4 to 5, girl: Kelsey Fullwood; boy: Bobby Perkins

6 to 7, girl: Kayla Wilder; boy: Keegan Boldery

8 to 9, girl: Rachel Fegan; boy: Bryan Creighton

10 to 11, girl: Elizabeth Ashton; boy: Jacob Perkins

Special prizes went to the children with the most original Easter Hat. A prize went to each since the judge couldn't make up his mind. Alexis Dundas, Riley Miracle and Rylyn Scott were the winners.
