Wood arrested for assault



SOUTH BOARDMAN Ñ Robert James Wood, 18, of South Boardman was arrested for alleged felonious domestic violence and interrupting emergency communications, a 911 call, on Wednesday, March 7, according to the Kalkaska County Sheriff Office.

According to KSO, the victim, Jessica Lynne Eberspeaker, also of South Boardman, said Wood was her ex-boyfriend.

Eberspeaker reportedly alleged that Wood was refusing to leave the home on Hall Road and alleged that Wood had hit her in the throat. KSO reportedly arrived at the home and found Eberspeaker on the kitchen floor, having what is referred to as a Grand-Mal seizure.

When KSO arrived, Wood had left the home, the report said. EMS was called to the scene, according to the report and Eberspeaker later sought treatment at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.

Reportedly, Eberspeaker told EMTs that she is prone to seizures and is on seizure medication.

The report states that Eberspeaker alleged that when the dispatcher called her back, Wood knocked the phone out of her hand.

Wood later was pulled over by a Michigan State Police Trooper on Butler Road just south of Woodman Road, according to the KSO report. KSO reported that after Wood allegedly admitted to knocking the phone out of EberspeakerÕs hand and pushing her, he was arrested for domestic assault and was being housed in the Kalkaska County Jail.
