  Obituaries PUBLISHED: Mr. Bennett was a decorated WWII 6th Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. He was married to Ione Stuart Bennett, deceased, and worked for many years at both Spartan Stores and Purchases Sales. Mr. Bennett is survived by his only daughter, Pamela, who resides in California when she isn't traveling. Memorial services were held at Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center Street, Gaylord, Michigan, on Saturday, March 8. Donations are encouraged to Disabled American Veterans in his memory. |
