Obituaries PUBLISHED: Born on April 2, 1934, in Fife Lake, he was the son of the late Eben and Frieda (Bird) Elliott. He was united in marriage on Aug. 28, 1959, to Beulah Cain. He is survived by his wife, Beulah, son Wade of Fife Lake; daughter Lori of Traverse City; sisters, Johanna (Chuck) Whiteford of Williamsburg and Elaine (Al) Coffman of South Boardman; brother Don (Lucy) Elliott of Fife Lake; sister-in-law Viva Perry of Manton; many nieces and nephews; and his dog pals, Mickey and Skipper. He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers Jim and Lynn Elliott, Bob Daniels, George Perry; sister Grace Elliott Wolfe; and stepsister Margaret Perry Stuck. Wilbur served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1956 serving in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 463 in South Boardman, the VFW Post 8684 in Kalkaska and the South Boardman Senior Center. Wilbur loved hunting, fishing, carpentry, playing cards, western movies, country music and dogs. He was a heavy equipment operator for Kalkaska Construction for over 20 years. Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 19 at Wolfe-OĠNeill Funeral Home with Reverend William Kuiper officiating from the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. Memorials may be given in behalf of Wilbur to the South Boardman Senior Center or South Boardman American Legion Post 463.
