Obituaries PUBLISHED: He was born in Garden City, Michigan on January 24, 1933, to the late Fredrick and Helen (Heft) Krupski. Russell married Maurine Hipner in Garden City on February 4, 1956. Russell was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He retired from the City of Wayne's Department of Public Works in 1981. In 1982, he and Maurine moved to Kalkaska. Russell was a member of the Bear Lake Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening and collecting things. Russell is survived by his children, Kathleen George of Kalkaska, Mark (Diane) Krupski of Kalkaska, Bryan (Becky) Krupski of Kalkaska, Karen Krupski of Fenton, and Pam Stottelmyer of Kalkaska; his sister Lois Sweeny of Garden City; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding Russell in death, was his wife of 48 years, Maurine; and his siblings, David, Virginia, Paul, and Dorothy. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. at the Bear Lake Christian Church with the Pastor David Rosenberg. Memorial contributions may be given in Russell's honor to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Road, Suite #150, Bingham Farms, Mich., 48025-9976.
