Richard married Jacqueline Smith on July 6, 1996, in Kalkaska.

Richard is survived by his wife Jackie; his stepchildren, Steven (Lindsay Udell) Massie of Rapid City, Leslie Massie of Muskegon, Robert Jr. (Cindy Johnson) Massie of Rapid City; brothers, Rodney Hoadley of Kalkaska, Robert Hoadley of Kalkaska, Martin D. (Jackie) Cooper of Alden, Craig (Angel) Copper of Kalkaska; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Richard was a painter by trade. He enjoyed hunting with his wife, mushroom picking, gardening, and NASCAR.

The funeral will be on Friday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at the Wolfe-OÕNeill Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in behalf of Richard to the family.
